Zichuan：Extends Warm Welcome to Children from Cameroon

On December 7, children from Cameroon visited Zichuan District, Zibo City, to participate in the cultural exchange activity titled "Using the Language of the World to Tell Chinese Stories Well." Immersed in the atmosphere of traditional ink and books, and filled with laughter and joy, they experienced the charm of Chinese culture, becoming young ambassadors of cross-cultural communication.

During the "Story Sharing Session," the Cameroonian children paired up with local students from Zichuan to study classic Chinese stories such as *Kong Rong Giving Away the Larger Pears* and *The Foolish Old Man Who Moved the Mountains*. A young girl named Amina from Yaoundé narrated the story of *Sima Guang Smashing the Vat* in English. Though her pronunciation carried a slight accent, her clear and vivid storytelling won warm applause from the audience. Later, the children from both sides collaborated to rehearse a short play based on *The Analects of Confucius: Learning*, imitating the postures of ancient scholars as they recited, "Is it not a pleasure to learn and practice what is learned from time to time?"—capturing the essence and charm of the classic text.
