The exhibition highlights ink artist Qi Baishi (1864–1957) and the significant influence of his work in Shandong, particularly through his mentorship of several renowned disciples from or associated with the province.

A total of 136 artworks are on display, including pieces by Qi, earlier masters who influenced him such as Li Shan (1686–1756), Li Fangying (1695–1755), Gao Fenghan (1683–1749), and Wu Changshuo (1844–1927), as well as his disciples Li Kuchan (1899–1983) and Wang Xuetao (1903–1982).

The exhibition is organized into three sections: the origins of Qi's artistic style, the development of his work across different stages, and how his style was carried forward by his disciples. There is also a dedicated area with creative products that integrate Qi's art with Shandong's intangible cultural heritage.

The exhibition also employs digital displays and interactive activities, offering visitors a more immersive experience by recreating Qi's hometown in Hunan and the landscapes he encountered during his travels, which had a profound influence on his work. In addition, nearly 4,000 artworks created by children from across China are on display, all inspired by Qi's distinctive artistic style.
