On February 4, 2026, Li Anxu from Pakistan and Zheng Xuyun from South Korea visited the Pear Culture Eco-Museum in Yangxin County, where they immersed themselves in the 2,000-year cultural legacy of the “Hometown of Chinese Ya Pears.”

Covering a site area of 8,200 square meters with a total building area of 3,100 square meters, the Pear Culture Eco-Museum is structured around the central theme of “Millennia of Pear Heritage · Ecological Coexistence.” Upholding the guiding principle of “letting relics tell stories and culture touch hearts,” the museum has become an important window for showcasing the development of the pear industry and the inheritance of pear culture.

Under the attentive guidance of a docent, the two visitors explored in sequence four major exhibition areas: the Pear History Gallery, Pear Orchard Micro-Scenes, Pear Product Memories, and the Pear Customs Workshop. In the Pear History Gallery, yellowed old photographs, timeworn pear-farming tools, and vividly reconstructed scenes brought to life the journey of Yangxin ya pears from scattered cultivation in ancient times to today’s large-scale, industrialized development. In the Pear Product Memories area, alongside traditional ceramic-jar pear paste and modern vacuum-packed pear products, newly introduced innovations—such as fermented pear juice beverages and pear-flavored cultural creative pastries—caught Li Anxu’s eye. She carefully inquired about the stories behind the product development and praised the results, saying, “The fusion of traditional ingredients with modern creativity is truly stunning.”

“This visit has completely changed my perception of pears. Every exhibit here weaves together history, folk customs, and ecology—it’s a one-of-a-kind cultural treasure,” Zheng Xuyun remarked. Li Anxu added that she would share the charm of Yangxin’s pear culture with family, friends, and colleagues back home, so that more people can learn about the unique appeal of this Chinese pear hometown.

This visit not only enabled the two foreign friends to gain an in-depth appreciation of the distinctive charm of Yangxin’s pear culture, but also built a solid bridge for cultural exchange between China and other countries. Looking ahead, Yangxin County will continue to use pears as a cultural medium, leveraging the Pear Culture Eco-Museum as an important platform to help millennia-old pear heritage cross borders and step onto a broader global stage.
