Jinan's young athlete Quan Chunjie secured the city's first gold medal at the 26th Shandong Province Sports Games after winning the Group B men's individual breaking competition on March 30 at Linyi Olympic Sports Park.

The 14-year-old rising star delivered a strong performance in the final, marking an impressive start for Jinan at the Games. His teammate Liu Zirong, 13, earned a silver medal alongside Quan in the Group B mixed doubles event, highlighting the growing strength of Jinan's youth breaking program.

Quan's success reflects five years of dedicated training at the Jinan Huangting Competitive Sports School, where he follows a specialized program focused on strength, flexibility, and tactical precision. Despite the physical demands and occasional injuries, he has already achieved notable results on both national and international stages, including a championship at Hip Hop International China and a runner-up finish at the BDS World Youth Street Dance Championships.
