"Dialogue France-Shandong" – Shandong-France Sustainable Development Matchmaking Conference Held in Jinan

On April 2, the "Dialogue France-Shandong" Shandong-France Sustainable Development Matchmaking Conference was held in Jinan, co-hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government and the French Embassy in China. As the first major event under the "Shandong-Europe Partnership" industrial and supply chain cooperation framework, the conference aimed to deepen the cooperation between Shandong Province and France in sustainable development.

The conference featured a lively atmosphere and yielded fruitful results. The corporate promotion and matchmaking sessions were the highlights. Member companies of the France-China Eco-City Club, including EDF, Veolia, SUEZ, Alstom, Dassault Systèmes, Schneider Electric, Air Liquide, Saint-Gobain, Axens, and Valode & Pistre, along with French institutions in China such as the CCI France Chine, the French Development Agency, and Business France, engaged in in-depth discussions with over 50 leading Shandong-based enterprises on green energy, ecological conservation, smart cities, green manufacturing, etc.

The French business delegation covered nearly all leading French companies in relevant sectors operating in China, with all delegations headed by senior executives. This fully demonstrated the high importance the French industry places on the Shandong market and its sincerity to cooperate. Representatives from both sides agreed that Shandong's robust industrial base and the technological strengths of French companies are highly complementary, offering vast opportunities for collaboration, and pledged to advance specific project matchmaking going forward.

The "Dialogue France-Shandong" Business Matchmaking Conference focused on the frontiers of sustainable development, built a precise and efficient high-level platform for industrial dialogue, successfully promoted deep mutual understanding and trust between enterprises of both sides, and opened a new chapter for substantive project cooperation in the green and low-carbon field.
