Shandong-made tech fuels WorldSBK Championship win

Chinese brand Zhang Xue Motorcycle made history at Portugal's Portimão circuit, winning both races in the WorldSBK middleweight category and beating out Ducati, Yamaha, and other global giants. Behind the champion bike lies a strong "Shandong DNA".

Qingdao Desheng Machine Manufacture supplied the engine crankshaft for the 820RR-RS racing machine. As the heart of the engine, the crankshaft determines power stability and performance. Desheng established China's first intelligent crankshaft production line in 2013 and now supplies major brands, including BMW, Harley-Davidson, Honda, and Piaggio.

Qingdao Choho Industrial, recognized nationally as a "little giant" in chain systems, developed custom racing chains for the bike. With over 330 patents and the largest market share in China's motorcycle chain sector, its heat-treated chains endure extreme track conditions.

Shandong Zhenting Jinggong Piston Co Ltd in Tai'an provided high-performance forged pistons for Zhang Xue's production models. After three years of R&D and extensive testing, the company broke foreign technological monopolies, now producing over 70 million pistons annually and covering 75 percent of China's domestic market.

From crankshafts to chains and pistons, Shandong's precision manufacturing powered a historic victory on the world stage.
