Yangxin County Launches China–France Friendly School Exchange Activity

On April 9, 2026, a friendly school cultural exchange activity was successfully held at the Yangxin Pear Culture Ecological Museum. Organized by the Publicity Department of the Yangxin County Committee, the event invited eight students from the University of Rennes in France, including Allen, Nolan, Romans, Louise, and Alienor, to experience the unique charm of Yangxin’s pear culture through an immersive online format.

The Yangxin Pear Culture Ecological Museum covers an area of 8,200 square meters, with a building area of 3,100 square meters. Centered on the theme “A Millennium of Pear Charm, Ecological Coexistence,” it serves as an important window showcasing the development of Yangxin’s pear industry and the inheritance of its pear culture. The museum features four main exhibition areas: the Pear History Corridor, Pear Garden Miniatures, Pear Product Memories, and Pear Customs Workshop. Through cultural relics, exhibits, and immersive scenes, it vividly tells the story of over 2,000 years of Yali pear cultivation in Yangxin.

Guided by a docent, the students toured each exhibition area through the camera. In the Pear History Corridor, old photographs, ancient farming tools, and reconstructed scenes allowed them to clearly observe the cultivation and development of Yali pears from ancient times to the present. In the Pear Product Memories section, traditional pear paste stored in ceramic jars and modern vacuum-packed pear products were neatly displayed, demonstrating innovation and upgrading in pear products. In the Pear Customs Workshop, folk handicrafts such as pear blossom paper-cuttings and pear wood blessing plaques reflected a strong sense of everyday life.

During the visit, the students were fully engaged and actively asked questions, expressing continuous admiration for the rich exhibits and profound cultural heritage. They noted that the visit not only introduced them to the sweet and fragrant Yangxin Yali pears, but also helped them understand the history and folk customs behind them, making it a truly memorable experience.

Using pears as a medium, this online exchange activity not only enabled foreign participants to gain deeper insight into the unique charm of Yangxin’s pear culture, but also built a bridge for cultural exchange between China and other countries. In the future, Yangxin will continue to carry out diverse forms of international cultural exchange activities, allowing its distinctive pear culture to reach a broader stage.
