菏泽，相见恨晚丨摩洛哥姑娘的牡丹奇遇

春风拂过菏泽，万亩牡丹竞相绽放。在“2026世界牡丹大会 第35届菏泽国际牡丹文化旅游节”期间，一位来自摩洛哥的留学生法德瓦（Fadwa）走进了曹州百花园，这场牡丹之约，让她直呼“相见恨晚”。

初识牡丹：惊艳于“花中之王”的雍容

“来菏泽之前，我从来不知道牡丹，在我的国家应该是没有这种花的。”来自菏泽学院的留学生法德瓦站在花海中，眼中闪烁着惊喜的光芒。在中国文化中，牡丹被誉为“花中之王”，象征着富贵、繁荣与爱情。层层叠叠的花瓣饱满繁茂，正如人们对美好生活的期盼。法德瓦被深深震撼了：“我从来没见过这么大的花，我觉得太惊艳了。”

情定菏泽：此心安处是吾乡

漫步花间，法德瓦最深的感受并不是花本身，而是这座城市的人：“我太喜欢这座城市了。这里太美了，我感觉就像在自己家里一样，丝毫没有觉得自己是个外国人。”

这份归属感，源于菏泽人的热情与真诚。“这里的人都很随和，他们待我就像家人一样，对我特别好，特别温暖。他们把我当成朋友、当成女儿一样对待。”法德瓦说。

这份跨越国界的温暖，让法德瓦想起了童年时的梦想。“从小时候起，我就跟爸爸说，我想来中国。”在菏泽，她不仅实现了来中国的愿望，更收获了一份意外的“家的感觉”。

花语相通：中摩文化的美丽对话

牡丹承载着中国人对美好生活的向往，而远在摩洛哥的向日葵，也寄托着同样的祝福。当被问及摩洛哥的传统花卉时，法德瓦提到了向日葵：“在我们那边向日葵并不多见，而且价格还很贵。如果有人在庆典、生日聚会或者婚礼上送你向日葵，就代表你对他而言非常特别。因为向日葵的寓意是：祝你长寿、幸福，万事顺遂。”

花语虽有不同，祝福却心意相通。在百花园内的“花满筑”——古装剧《国色芳华》的实景复刻场景中，法德瓦被一款牡丹文创产品深深吸引。“它有红色、粉色、蓝色，还带着一点闪粉，太好看了。”她决定把这份特别的礼物送给远在摩洛哥的妈妈，“她为我付出了很多，总是为我祈祷，无论我在生活中做什么，她都一直支持我。”

牡丹花开，四海客来。从异国他乡的惊艳初见，到融入城市的温暖归属感，牡丹作为纽带，让菏泽的美好与温情跨越山海。这场牡丹之约，不仅是一次视觉与文化的碰撞，更让菏泽的魅力在国际友人心中生根发芽，也让这座“牡丹之都”的故事，走向了更广阔的世界。

As the spring breeze sweeps across Heze, tens of thousands of mudan (peonies) burst into bloom. During "2026 World Peony Conference and the 35th Heze International Peony Cultural Tourism Festival",Fadwa, an international student from Morocco, stepped into Caozhou Baihua Garden. This peony rendezvous left her exclaiming, "Better late than never!"

First Encounter with Peonies: Astonished by the Magnificence of the "King of Flowers"

"Before coming to Heze, I had never heard of peonies. I don't think we have this kind of flower in my country." Fadwa, an international student from Heze University, stood amidst the sea of flowers, her eyes sparkling with delight. In Chinese culture, the peony is revered as the "King of Flowers" , symbolizing wealth, prosperity, and love. Its layers of lush, full petals embody people's aspirations for a beautiful life. Fadwa was deeply captivated: "I have never seen such large flowers. I find it absolutely stunning."

Finding Home in Heze: Where the Heart Finds Peace

Strolling through the blossoms, what touched Fadwa most was not the flowers themselves, but the people of this city: "I love this city so much. It's so beautiful—I feel like I'm right at home. I don't feel like a foreigner here at all."

This sense of belonging stemmed from the warmth and sincerity of the Heze people. "The people here are so easygoing. They treat me like family, with such kindness and warmth. They accept me as their friend, as their daughter," Fadwa shared.

This warmth that transcended borders reminded Fadwa of her childhood dream. "Since I was little, I told my father I wanted to come to China." In Heze, she not only fulfilled her wish to visit China but also discovered an unexpected feeling of "home."

A Floral Dialogue: A Beautiful Conversation Between Chinese and Moroccan Cultures

While peonies carry Chinese aspirations for a good life, the sunflower in distant Morocco conveys similar blessings. When asked about traditional flowers in Morocco, Fadwa mentioned the sunflower: "Sunflowers are quite rare in our country, and they're expensive. If someone gives you sunflowers at a celebration, birthday party, or wedding, it means you are very special to them. Because the sunflower means: I wish you a long life, happiness, and success in all your endeavors."

Though the floral languages differ, the blessings resonate in harmony. Inside Huamanzhu —a life-size replica of the set from the costume drama Guose Fanghua —Fadwa was drawn to a peony-themed cultural and creative product. "It has red, pink, and bluecolor, with a touch of glitter—absolutely gorgeous." She decided to send this special gift to her mother in Morocco: "She has done so much for me, always praying for me, supporting me in everything I do in life."

Peonies bloom, and guests from across the four seas arrive. From her astonished first encounter as a foreign visitor to her warm sense of belonging in the city, the peony served as a bond, allowing the beauty and warmth of Heze to transcend mountains and seas. This peony rendezvous was not merely a visual and cultural collision—it took root in the heart of an international friend, carrying the story of this "Peony Capital" to a broader world.
