追风“老外”丨法国雕塑家来潍坊学艺：扎了个“雕塑”放上天

17日，在潍坊滨海云门国际放飞场，米兰娜·加布里埃尔把一个“方盒子”放上了天空。她是法国的一名雕塑家。今年一月份来到潍坊杨家埠，开展一项关于潍坊风筝及其工艺的人类学研究。她的参赛风筝像一件融合了东西方文化的雕塑作品，运用了多种多样的中国工艺与理念。

On the 17th, at Weifang Binhai Yunmen International Kite Flying Ground, Milana Gabriel sent a "square box" soaring into the sky. She is a French sculptor. She came to Yangjiabu in Weifang this January to conduct an anthropological study on Weifang kites and their craftsmanship. Her competition kite resembles a sculpture integrating Eastern and Western cultures, using a variety of traditional Chinese techniques and concepts.

“我知道大家一定有疑问，为什么我的风筝是一个盒子。”在现场，她向记者展示了这个造型“奇异”的风筝。它看起来像一个白色的盒子，顶部有一个红色的球体，可以随风转动。“我这个风筝更像一件雕塑作品。因为我是个雕塑家，还没学会像风筝艺人那样思考。”

"I know you must be wondering why my kite is a box." She showed reporters this uniquely designed kite on site. It looks like a white box with a red ball on top that can spin with the wind. "This kite of mine is more like a sculpture. As a sculptor, I haven't learned to think like a professional kite maker."

不过，她仍然在这个风筝上运用了诸多中国工艺。她告诉记者，从潍坊杨家埠学到在纸上压花的工艺后，她便决定将其运用到自己设计的风筝中。二胡、琵琶、唢呐等五种中国乐器的图案，被通过压花工艺印在了“方盒子”风筝的5个由宣纸制成的平面上。“中国古典音乐太令我着迷了！”

Nevertheless, she has incorporated many traditional Chinese crafts into this kite. She told reporters that after learning paper embossing techniques from Yangjiabu in Weifang, she decided to apply them to her own kite design. Patterns of five traditional Chinese musical instruments, including the erhu, pipa and suona, were embossed on the five rice-paper surfaces of the box-shaped kite. "I am really fascinated by classical Chinese music!"

她坦言，这个风筝既不是中国传统风筝，也不是法国的风筝，而是东西方文化融合的结果。“这个风筝运用的是潍坊技艺，结合了我的艺术风格，所以这是我理解的风筝。”她说，她正在努力学习中国传统风筝扎制技艺，但这显然还需要时间。“三个月时间远远不够！我跟随一名匠人学习，他说我应该先练习切削竹条200次，再学习其他的。”

不过，看到她的“雕塑”作品成功飞上了天空，她还是感到非常开心。

She admitted that this kite is neither a traditional Chinese kite nor a French one, but a blend of Eastern and Western cultures. "This kite uses Weifang craftsmanship combined with my own artistic style, so this is my understanding of what a kite is," she said. She is trying hard to learn traditional Chinese kite-making skills, but it clearly takes time. "Three months is nowhere near enough! I am learning from a craftsman, who told me I should practice cutting bamboo strips 200 times before learning anything else."

Still, she was extremely happy to see her "sculpture" successfully fly into the sky.
