Western Jin Celadon Figurine of a Foreigner Riding a Lion: The "international trendsetter" in cultural relics
It ranks among the treasures of Linyi Museum. Crafted in the form of a foreigner riding a lion, the artifact features a human figure with thick brows, large eyes, a high nose and a full beard, exuding a solemn aura. The lion, with glaring eyes and an open jaw, bears distinct manes and an imposing presence.
Exquisitely wrought, this celadon piece stands as the most intact and best-glazed artifact of its kind nationwide. It serves as a vital benchmark relic for the research of Western Jin cultural exchanges and celadon craftsmanship.
Northern Dynasties Celadon-Glazed Lotus Zun: The "Goddess of Beauty" of the Southern and Northern Dynasties
The celadon-glazed lotus zun represents the pinnacle of ceramic art during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. It is now permanently collected by Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum. The vessel is fully decorated with overlapping lotus petal patterns, presenting an elegant and dignified demeanor.
Nearly flawless in shape, glaze and ornamentation, this lotus zun embodies the highest achievements of Chinese ceramic craftsmanship in that era.
