U.S. Principal Visits Zibo MacDuffie School for In-Depth Cross-Border Educational Dialogue

Recently, Principal Steve and his delegation from the United States visited the campus of Zibo MacDuffie School for an international educational exchange.Taking the campus as a platform and education as a bond, the two sides held an in-depth and practical cross-border exchange activity, enabling the educational philosophies of the East and the West to collide and integrate through immersive interaction.

During the visit, Principal Steve and his delegation toured the school's kindergarten, Jixia Experimental School and senior high school department, gaining a comprehensive and multi-perspective view of the school's layered education and distinctive schooling practices.

At the kindergarten, Principal Lynn and her teaching team extended a warm welcome. Confident young student guides introduced the inquiry-based teaching environment of each class in fluent English. Chinese and foreign teachers elaborated on daily teaching practices in detail, showcasing a warm and orderly educational atmosphere and the focused, independent learning attitude of the children.

At Jixia Experimental School, student representatives from primary and secondary schools held a discussion with Principal Steve. With fluent oral English, the students posed questions boldly and communicated enthusiastically. Drawing on the characteristics of American schooling, Principal Steve vividly shared the daily growth and learning experiences of overseas students, compared and analyzed the differences and strengths between Chinese and American education, and encouraged students to broaden their international horizons and view diverse educational models dialectically.

At the senior high school department, Principal Steve took an in-depth part in the special π Day Math Festival held by the International Department. A variety of exciting activities were staged on site, including fun challenges, tangram teamwork and computational speed contests. He actively interacted with students and immersed himself in the experience, appreciating the appeal of the school's discipline-based distinctive teaching through fun hands-on activities. He highly praised the school's educational philosophy of teaching through entertaining activities and empowering students’ thinking development.
