Shandong-based Weichai Power and Sinotruk held a product showcase for Weichai's new-generation high-end engines for light-duty trucks at Weichai Power's light engine production base in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province. Dealer representatives from across China visited the base and learned more about Weichai's smart manufacturing, quality control, and upgraded products.

At the event, Weichai Power unveiled a full lineup of new engines for light-duty trucks, including diesel and natural gas engines such as the WP2.5T, WP2.5N, WP3N, WP3NNG, WP5N, and WP5H, as well as new energy solutions. The products are designed for everyday transport needs, including city and suburban deliveries, cold-chain logistics, and fresh produce transport.

The new engines range from 190 to 300 horsepower and comply with China VI emission standards. According to Weichai, they are designed to help light-truck users improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and increase earnings.

The Yangzhou base primarily produces 11 series of high-end diesel engines, covering 2-liter, 3-liter, and 4-liter models. Supported by Weichai's WOS management system, the base features automated production lines with key processes fully automated. Industrial robots, visual inspection systems, and engine testing systems ensure stable quality.

Weichai Power has also upgraded its self-developed new energy systems, including batteries, motors, and motor controllers. With its new energy power industrial park in Yantai, Shandong province, the company aims to deliver safer, more durable, more efficient, and lighter power solutions for green logistics.

The company said it will continue to improve its product lineup and quality, and work with partners to support more efficient and greener light-truck logistics.
