236 Fortune Global 500 Companies Have Invested in and Launched 947 Projects across Shandong

跨国公司领导人青岛峰会是国内首个面向跨国公司量身定制的重要活动，自2019年落地山东以来，已经推动一批优质外资项目落地山东，截至目前，共有236家世界500强企业在山东投资落地了947个外资项目。山东省商务厅厅长王磊表示，今年一季度，山东实际使用外资规模仍然保持全国前列，为山东的经济社会发展作出了积极的贡献，也彰显了跨国公司投资山东的信心。

As China's first major event dedicated to multinationals, the Qingdao Multinationals Summit has helped introduce a raft of high-quality foreign-invested projects to Shandong since its inception in the province in 2019. To date, 236 Fortune Global 500 companies have invested in and launched 947 foreign-funded projects across Shandong. Wang Lei, Director-General of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, noted that Shandong ranked among the leading provinces nationwide in terms of actual utilized foreign investment in the first quarter of this year. Such investment has bolstered the province's economic and social development and underscores multinationals' confidence in investing in Shandong.

The 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit closely aligns its "Event Agenda" with Shandong's "Investment Promotion Catalog" to channel foreign investment into key sectors that foster new quality productive forces. For the upgrading of traditional industries, targeted matchmaking sessions centering on Shandong's competitive sectors including smart agriculture and high-end chemicals will be organized. These engagements will provide opportunities for multinationals to leverage their advanced technologies and management expertise to facilitate the upgrading, transformation, and revitalization of Shandong's traditional industries. To foster the growth of emerging industries, the Summit will focus on key sectors such as new energy vehicles, advanced energy storage and modern marine economy. Leading global enterprises will be invited to engage in face-to-face negotiations with upstream and downstream players across Shandong's industrial chains to introduce projects that strengthen, supplement and extend local industrial chains. To advance the forward-looking development of future industries, themed events covering artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, and future industries, among others, will attract multinationals to establish R&D centers and regional headquarters, and launch pilot innovation projects in Shandong, helping the province seize early-mover advantages in industrial development during the "15th Five-Year" Plan period.
