Let culture become the shared code for youth across the Taiwan Strait

Recently, a cross-Strait youth exchange event themed "Shared Origins Across the Strait · Elegant Hanfu and Porcelain Charm" was held in Zhangdian District. Bringing together Hanfu enthusiasts and ceramic culture inheritors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the event celebrated the beauty of traditional attire and the allure of kiln craftsmanship, allowing participants to cherish their shared ancestral bonds and promote mutual learning of folk culture.

At Zibo’s Badaju Market, young people from both sides wore exquisite Hanfu styles including curved-hem robes, chest-high ruqun, and round-collar robes. With wide sleeves flowing and garments fluttering, they exuded elegant grace in every gesture. By Qisheng Lake, students from Shandong University of Technology performed a classical dance with flying water sleeves and nimble postures, blending the elegance of ritual and music into the natural scenery, drawing enthusiastic applause from the youth on both sides.

A symposium on Hanfu cultural exchange was also held. Youth from both sides of the Strait took to the stage in various styles of Hanfu, showcasing the splendor of traditional attire, learning about Hanfu together, and sharing their views on the revival and innovation of traditional costume culture. The Inspiration Hanfu Culture Society of Shandong University of Technology and relevant enterprises presented appointment letters to young people from Taiwan.

At the Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum, young Taiwanese visitors carefully learned about the history of ceramics and glassmaking, stopping to take photos from time to time. Through an immersive visit, they gained a profound appreciation for the rich heritage of Zibo’s ceramic and glass culture.

Attire carries civilization, and kiln fire conveys affection. This youthful gathering, bonded by traditional robes and witnessed by ceramic art, is making the profound and splendid Chinese culture the shared code that connects the blood and hearts of young people across the Strait. Together, they will carry forward these traditions and write an even more touching future.
