Night cruise adds new string to Qingdao’s bow after dusk

A new night cruiseroute from Zhanqiao Pier has beenlaunched in Qingdao, Shandong province, offering visitors a fresh perspective on the city's historic waterfront. Departing from Zhanqiao Pier in the westof the city, the cruise passes by key landmarks such as Little QingdaoIsland, the Sea Palace, and the PLA Naval Museum.

Passengers can enjoy Qingdao's fresh beer and live music performances on deck, creating a unique "sea, beer andmusic" experience. As night falls, the illuminated Zhanqiao Pier and the old town's glowing skyline form a stunning seaside panorama.

The new route complements the existing light show cruises at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, creating a complete east‑west coastal night tour. It marks another step in Qingdao's maritime tourism expansion.

As of July 23, the city's joint sea tour operation had already welcomed over 2 million visitors this year, up 7.51percentfrom the corresponding period in 2025.
