Linyi e-bikes race overseas as global demand surges

Linyi's electric two- and three-wheelers are taking foreign markets by storm. From January to June, the city exported 165,000 units, up 180.2 percent year-on-year, generating 190 million yuan ($27.64 million) in revenue for a 142.6 percent increase.

As Chinese NEVs increasingly gain global traction, affordable e-bikes and e-tricycles are now catching international attention. With rising fuel prices, these low-cost, energy-efficient vehicles perfectly suit diverse consumer needs.

For years, short-distance travel demand in Europe and America was underserved — narrow streets, scarce parking, and car-centric habits left an untapped niche. Linyi's nimble e-vehicles are filling it fast, proving that smart mobility knows no borders.
