Korean friends experience Chinese calligraphy

Recently, the Mudan District of Heze City Shandong Provinceheld a Chinese calligraphy culture experience class in the multi-functional cultural experience room of Jinpu Art Village in Gyeonggi Province, Gyeongju City, South Korea. The class was open to local residents of Gyeongju City, South Korea for free. Dozens of calligraphy enthusiasts, including Lee Jiyeon and Kim Haeyeon, enthusiastically signed up to participate. They immersed themselves in experiencing the unique charm of Chinese calligraphy art.

At the event site, professional calligraphy teacher Chen Shuang elaborated in detail on core contents such as the historical origin of Chinese calligraphy, the meaning of ink and brush, basic brush techniques, and writing layout. From the posture of holding the brush, the force of the brush stroke, to the outlining and overall layout, the teacher gave detailed instructions and patiently answered the questions of the students. The entire teaching atmosphere was relaxed and harmonious. The students listened attentively and asked questions actively, immersing themselves in experiencing the cultural connotations behind Chinese calligraphy.

The Korean citizen students participating in the event were full of enthusiasm and devoted to their studies. Among them, Kim Haeyeon and Lee Jiyeon were fully concentrated and dedicated to following the teacher's demonstration steps of spreading the paper, grinding the ink, picking up the brush, and writing. They repeatedly pondered the key points of brush techniques and practiced repeatedly. Through several copies and exercises, they gradually mastered the writing skills. Kim Haeyeon said that before this, she only heard about Chinese calligraphy culture. After experiencing it personally, she deeply felt the Eastern charm and profound cultural heritage contained in the brush strokes and lines, and gained a lot and felt it was of great significance. Throughout the event, the students interacted with each other, devotedly created, and felt the profoundness of Chinese traditional culture through the brush strokes and ink splashes. In the interaction and communication, they strengthened the folk friendship between China and South Korea.
