The 2026 Colombia International Construction and Building Materials Exhibition (ExpoCAMACOL) recently concluded successfully in Medellín. As one of the most influential construction industry events in Latin America, this year's fair attracted exhibitors and professional buyers from dozens of countries and regions around the world. Intco Recycling, based in Zibo, Shandong, China, brought its green building material products under its own brand to the exhibition, offering not only eco-friendly new materials but also sparking a modest wave of cross-cultural exchange both within and beyond its booth.

At the exhibition, Intco Recycling showcased a range of green building material solutions, including PS wall panels, WPC outdoor products, and PET acoustic panels. These decorative panels, made from recycled materials, featured lifelike textures and warm colors, rivaling traditional building materials in quality. Many Latin American visitors were initially drawn by the appearance, but after touching the products, they were surprised to discover that these aesthetically appealing items were actually made from recycled plastics.

A local Colombian architect lingered at the booth for a long time. Picking up a wood-grain SPC wall panel, he told the staff: "We have a natural affinity for wood, but deforestation has always been a problem. You have managed to recreate the texture and warmth of wood using recycled materials, preserving nature's feel while protecting real forests — I truly appreciate that." His words resonated with many other visitors. During the ensuing conversations, the Intco team introduced Zibo as the birthplace of Qi Culture, with a thousand‑year tradition of ceramics and glassware craftsmanship, and explained how today's enterprise continues the philosophy of "turning waste into treasure" through modern technology. A Mexican purchaser commented with admiration: "So you're not just selling materials — there's such a deep cultural heritage behind it all."

Throughout the exhibition, the Intco booth remained bustling with visitors and lively discussions. Beyond product performance, pricing, and delivery schedules, an increasing number of clients took the initiative to ask about recycling process details, design inspirations, and even China's circular economy policies. An Intco on‑site manager remarked: "In the past, we talked about products. Now, clients prefer to hear the story behind them. Turning plastic bottles into decorative wall panels is not just a technological process; it's a way of conveying a lifestyle attitude. Latin American customers value environmental protection and have a deep love for art — our products happen to satisfy both."

This participation not only further strengthened Intco Recycling's brand recognition in the Latin American market but also showed more international partners the sincerity and strength of Chinese manufacturing in its green transformation. More importantly, the booth became a small "cultural salon" — industry professionals of different languages and backgrounds gathered together to discuss sustainable architecture and exchange design aesthetics. Such face‑to‑face interactions often carry more warmth than any brochure.

Looking ahead, Intco Recycling will continue to deepen its efforts in the high‑value utilization of renewable resources, supported by technological innovation, to provide global customers with more eco‑friendly, higher‑quality spatial solutions. As the Intco on‑site manager put it: "Green building materials are not just a business — they are a language that connects different cultures. We hope every panel can tell a story of cherishing and renewing."
