友城之约丨智利政府官员看好与山东新能源领域合作

“第七次中国—中东欧国家地方领导人会议暨2026山东国际友城合作交流周”于5月25日至29日在济南举行。作为参会嘉宾，智利帕德雷拉斯卡萨斯市地方经济发展主任加布里埃尔·梅尔卡多（Gabriel Mercado），在接受海报新闻记者采访时，畅谈此次山东之行的行程规划与合作期许。本次到访山东，他的行程丰富充实，除蓬莱和济南外，他还将前往临沂、东营开展交流对接。梅尔卡多重点介绍了双方合作的核心方向，在传统农业合作基础上，他尤为看好两地新能源领域的合作前景，十分期待与山东在太阳能产业开展深度务实合作，共拓发展新机。

深耕地方经济发展领域的梅尔卡多，对中智民间经贸往来有着清晰认知，他表示智利特色水果深受中国消费者喜爱，除知名的车厘子外，智利蓝莓等优质果品也备受青睐，果品贸易为两地深化合作筑牢了良好的市场与民意基础。

The 7th China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting and 2026 Shandong International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Exchange Week is currently underway in Jinan, running from May 25 to 29. Gabriel Mercado, Director of Local Economic Development of Padre Las Casas, Chile, attended the event as a guest and elaborated on his itinerary and cooperation expectations in an interview with reporters from Haibao News. Mercado's schedule for this Shandong visit is packed and enriching. Beyond Penglai and Jinan, he will travel to Linyi and Dongying for exchanges and matchmaking. Mercado highlighted the core directions of bilateral cooperation. Building upon traditional agricultural collaboration, he is particularly optimistic about the prospects for new energy cooperation and looks forward to conducting in-depth, substantive cooperation with Shandong in the solar energy industry to jointly explore new development opportunities.

Having long worked in local economic development, Mercado has a clear grasp of non-governmental economic and trade exchanges between China and Chile. He noted that Chilean specialty fruits are deeply loved by Chinese consumers. In addition to the well-known cherries, premium products such as Chilean blueberries are also highly favored. Fruit trade has laid a solid foundation of market demand and public support for deepening cooperation between the two sides.
