On a quiet morning at Bible Mountain, Caro, a 34-year-old German woman, was intently practicing Mantis Boxing. She has been passionate about Chinese martial arts since the age of 16, having studied in Beijing, Henan, and other places. A year ago, Caro came to Wendeng in Weihai to specialize in Mantis Boxing. "The serene Taoist atmosphere here makes me feel at ease," Caro said. She practices diligently every day and recently won a second prize at the Laiyang International Mantis Boxing Competition. In Caro's view, martial arts are not just about combat but also a culture that transforms the body and mind and boosts self-confidence. "For my next step, I plan to continue my advanced studies in Wendeng and later return to Germany to offer courses, bringing authentic Chinese kung fu and the culture behind it back to my hometown," Caro said.
