Wandering Through Lingang in Early Autumn

The wind comes from afar, carrying a touch of coolness, and the scent of grass and trees about to turn yellow, but not yet.

The sunlight turns weightless, settling on your shoulders like a greeting left unsaid.

The shadows of roadside trees lie slanting, half still in a midsummer dream, half quietly touched with autumn.

Here, time moves slowly. So slowly that you can hear the sound of leaves brushing shoulders with the wind.

Early autumn in Lingang is in no hurry to turn yellow, nor in any hurry to turn cool. It simply tunes everything to a blurred, gentle, just-right look.

Like a dream that has not yet fully awakened, and you happen to be walking through it.
