The first batch of migratory birds has appeared in Shandong

With the gradual drop in temperature, the first batch of migratory birds for winter has recently arrived at the Yellow River beach area in Dongming County, Heze City, Shandong Province, marking the official commencement of the autumn and winter migratory bird migration season in the region.

It is understood that Dongming County is the first stop for the Yellow River as it enters Shandong. With a wetland area of over 11,000 hectares, it lies directly on the migratory route of migratory birds and serves as an important "resupply station" during their southward journey.

To protect migratory birds and optimize their habitat environment, Dongming County has established a dual management and protection model combining "technology and human defense": deploying high-definition monitoring equipment to conduct 24-hour intelligent monitoring, identification, and statistics of wetland migratory bird activities, implementing regular manual patrols, promptly discouraging any behavior that disturbs migratory birds, and fully protecting their winter habitat environment.
