The 2026 World Coast Rowing Championship was held in Qingdao

Recently，the 2026 World Rowing Coastal Championships opened at Golden Beach in Qingdao’s West Coast New Area. Athletes from 18 countries and regions gathered in this coastal city, kicking off a world-class celebration of speed, strength and the sea。

The 2026 World Coast Rowing Championship was hosted by the World Rowing Federation, and jointly hosted by China Rowing Association, Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau and Qingdao Municipal People's Government. It was the first time that Qingdao hosted this international top-level event. As the top event in the annual plan of the World Rowing Federation, it is also one of the international single events with the highest specifications and the highest competitive gold content in the world's coastal rowing and beach sprint events. Coastal rowers from all over the world will gather in Qingdao to make friends with their boats and jointly start a peak confrontation of speed, strength and wisdom in the golden beach waters on the west coast.
