Spectacular: This stretch of beach in Qingdao has turned “red”

A "red beach" has appeared at the mouth of the Yanghe River where it flows into Jiaozhou Bay in Qingdao West Coast New Area. Every autumn, the seepweed (Suaeda salsa) growing on the saline-alkali tidal flats begins to turn from green to red, creating the area's unique "red beach" scenery.
